Feminist Fridays #10: Unsung heroines - A Celebration of Refugee Women in Malaysia

The Tanma Federation was formed to protect and support Burmese refugee women in Malaysia. We discuss these unsung heroines and their courage and willingness to search for a better life here in Malaysia, where many frequently turn a blind eye to their story. We find out how the women are working to improve their lives and become economically independent despite the odds being against them, by speaking to Ophélie Grasset, a Volunteer coordinator for Tanma and Rachel Tan, a Programme officer at Tenaganita.
