Feminist Fridays #48: Funny Women

Stand-up comedy is a tough business, and is traditionally not a career many women have chosen to pursue, or perhaps, break into. Sharul Channa is Singapore’s only full-time female comedian, she is the first female comic to have her own special, and the first Singaporean to be selected for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2016. She joins us to share her experiences of working in comedy, and to give us a sneak peek of her second stand-up special, Sharul Weds Sharul, which is her own take on Indian weddings.
