Malaysia's First Female Astronaut?

Roshini Muniam, Student | Major Dr. Faiz Khaleed, Astronaut

25-Oct-13 15:00

Malaysia's First Female Astronaut?

Twenty-seven year old postgraduate student Roshini Muniam beat out 1,500 other Malaysians to win the Malaysian chapter of AXE’s Apollo Space Race competition. She will now compete against 114 winners from around the world in Florida this December for 24 spots to go a trip of a lifetime, 100 km above mother Earth, to become Malaysia’s first female astronaut. BFM speaks to Roshini as well as Malaysia’s second astronaut, Major Dr. Faiz Khaleed to find out how he’s been doing since he was selected as the final two candidates in our first Angkasawan programme back in 2007, what advice he has for Roshini, and when will he be going into space himself.
