DIY Dental Work and Dentistry Ethics

We’ve had news in recent months of a resourceful student who 3D printed his own braces at a fraction of the cost. Following that was the more distressing story of a “dentist of horror” who mutilated his patients’ mouths for insurance claims. Combined, these tales might make people never want to visit their dentist again. However, on today’s show we pick apart these stories by discussing DIY dental work and the ethics of dentistry with our guest, Dr Wey Mang Chek, Orthodontist at the University of Malaya.
