The Common Cold and Influenza

There are many diseases we take for granted - one of them being the common cold. However, there are many other diseases, including the potentially fatal Influenza virus, that exhibit similar symptoms to the common cold: fever, coughs or runny noses. How can we distinguish between a dangerous disease or a mere annoyance? Dr. Christopher Lee gives us the breakdown of the differences and similarities of these two diseases as well as what determines the infectivity of these different conditions.
