Our Adaptable Bones

During the recently ended 29th SEA Games, we were amazed once again by the extraordinary feats that humans could perform. The achievements were diverse: From blazing the course of a 100 meter to lifting four times their weight to somersaulting off a vault. Those achievements require not just lots of hard work, but also our musculoskeletal system to adapt to the many different training and needs of different sports. Here to tell us about how our muscles and bones respond to our physical activity is Dr Rajesh Singh, consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
