Preventing HIV Before Exposure

Two years ago, the Ministry of Health set the ambitious target of achieving zero HIV and AIDS by 2030. With almost 94,000 people in Malaysia living with HIV (2016) and the shifting mode of HIV transmission, what are the new approaches that will help us to address the new challenges? We speak to Assoc Prof Dr Raja Iskandar Shah Raja Azwa from University of Malaya and Frederick Pour from PT Foundation about the use of antiretroviral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV infections.
