Healthy Ageing: What’s Spiking Your Blood Pressure?

Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of the most common non-communicable diseases among Malaysians, and as you get older the risk for hypertension increases, which in turn increases the risk of other conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, and stroke. But do Malaysians, especially older adults, take it seriously when they’re told to bring their blood pressure down? On this episode of Healthy Ageing, we speak to Datin Emeritus Prof Dr Chia Yook Chin, Council Member with the Malaysian Society of Hypertension on how you can take better care of your blood pressure - without giving up the foods you love and why it matters to start young.
