Counsellor’s Corner: How’s Everybody Doing?

In January, Elmo tweeted: “Just checking in - how’s everybody doing?” What resulted was the Internet letting loose, with responses ranging from “I’m sad” to expressions of self-harm and existential dread. Yet, Malaysia was ranked the 5th happiest country in the world in the 2023 Mental State of the World Report. On Counsellor’s Corner, licensed counsellor Rozy Khalid joins us to ask you how you’re feeling, and to address your questions about being happy.

This conversation may bring up difficult topics like suicide and self-harm. If you need to talk about your mental health problems, look for local support within your community, or call helplines like: Talian HEAL at 15555, MIASA's 24-hour helpline at 1-800-1800-66, or Befrienders KL at 03-7627 2929.
