Budget 2023: How To Budget For Our Ageing Society

Older people in our society often live with multiple health risks or diseases, but their needs are more than just the sum of their health problems. Yet, older adults aren’t given priority in our healthcare system as whole individuals, but are shuttled around to receive fragmented care. Similarly, when it comes to health funding, the needs of older people are only addressed through piecemeal allocations. Consultant geriatrician Dr Terence Ong joins us to share his wishlist for the upcoming Budget 2023, in hopes that older people will finally have a specific allocation in the next national budget.
