Living with a rare disease can already be challenging, and even more so during a global pandemic. On this Brain Waves episode, we speak to neurogeneticist Dr Azlina Ahmad Annuar and Siti Safura Jaapar who lives with spinal muscular atrophy to find out how people with rare diseases, especially SMA, are coping as well as how the pandemic has affected the advocacy for access to much-needed treatment in Malaysia.
